Welcome To Advertisepedia!
My goal is to use this blog to educate myself and anyone who wants to join in about the great big world of Internet Marketing and Online Advertising. Along the way, I hope this will be a valuable resource for my own Internet Marketing endeavors with interaction from other bloggers with similar interests. Maybe someday, this little blog will be a huge resource of information about Online Advertising.
So, you may be wondering who I am or you simply may not give a shit. Either way, I think it’s only fair to tell you a little about myself. After all, blogging is a way of establishing yourself as an authority on a subject. I can not say I am there yet, but this will only help strengthen my own knowledge of making money online.
I am married to my best friend and we have a beautiful 2 year old daughter. I have a degree in M.I.S. and work full time in the field of Networking. I have been building websites since 1997 and feel after 10 years, I may actually understand a thing or two about this interweb. I have always enjoyed the geeky, technical side of the Internet, but last year out of frustration with all the time I spent online with my websites and not a penny to show for it, I started digging deeper into Internet Marketing and ways to bring in revenue while doing the things I love best. So far, I’ve made about $1500 through revenue avenues such as Search Engine Arbitrage, Contextual Advertising on my few websites and more recently through PPC to Affiliate offers. After you figure in my hosting costs and software purchases, I’d say I was about even.
Each step of the way, I have been doing things to educate myself. I wanted to get a feel for all of this by doing and not simply reading what others have said. I have been fortunate enough to keep from loosing a lot of money on my endeavors. However, these experiments have helped me understand ways to be more successful and I hope over the course of the next year I will be able to push myself to even higher net profits.
That’s enough about me and this site. Next time, I’ll start to dig deeper into some interesting topics….
