The Good, The Bad And The Ugly About Auctionads

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

At the end of last month, I figured out a way to make about $50 - $100 a day with Auctionads. It brought me $500 fairly quickly and this month was going well. My average was up around $70 per day on roughly 300 clicks a day. Then, 3 days ago, I earned $0. Nothing, Nada. I checked and I still had my 300 clicks, so it wasn’t a down turn in traffic. I chalked it up to one of those days. Then, the next day was exactly the same. Again I did not earn a single red cent on about 300 clicks. This is starting to look strange, but you know how this stuff goes. I decided to give it one more day.

That day got here and again, not a single dollar earned. Now I’m starting to get worried, so I decided to use their contact form to see if the earning reports were being delayed. I actually was hoping this was the case because October was on a roll. After a few days, not a single word from Auctionads.com. Which brings me to the point of this post. I want to discuss the Good, the Bad the Ugly about Auctionads from a revenue generation and customer interaction standpoint.

Google Adwords Does Not Like Creativity

I did my research and started looking for a domain. I wanted something catchy, something that would stand out on a Google Adwords ad.

Then it hit me, Survey kind of reminds me of Scurvy. And I associate Scurvy with sailing the High Seas. I could even do the whole page in Pirate Speak! Argh! I be on t’ sumt’n, Matey. Ok, it may sound a little silly, but if I was going to do it, I might as well have fun with it. So, SurveyScurvy.com was born and the Notorious Captain Scurvy was going to review Online Survey Sites. I was pretty proud of myself. It sure beats the millions of straight copy sales pages you find elsewhere.
